Rotterdam-based hip-hop collective Duvelduvel built their reputation through a distinctive blend of Dutch hip-hop and electronic production. The group’s core lineup evolved over the years, with MC Duvel anchoring the project alongside various collaborators, while turntablist DJ Git Hyper became integral to their sound from 2007 onward, adding dynamic scratching and mixing elements to their live and studio work.
The crew achieved significant recognition with their 2004 album “Aap-o-theek” and its breakout single “Wie Is Ut,” establishing themselves as key figures in the Dutch hip-hop scene. Known for their experimental approach to album releases, Duvelduvel continued pushing creative boundaries with subsequent projects, including the visually innovative “Puur Kultuur,” demonstrating their commitment to merging electronic production with artistic presentation.
