American label Caedmon's Call frontman Cliff Young co-founded Watershed Records, an Essential Records imprint, for the purpose of promoting successful independent singer/songwriters to national acclaim. His signings include the Gospel Music Association’s 2003 Male Vocalist of the Year nominee, Bebo Norman, and Andrew Peterson. Cliff maintains an A&R role with Watershed Records, and though he has assured fans that Watershed is not dead in the water, the label is currently experiencing a quiet patch at the moment.
