Warner Music began to operate directly in Russia in October 2013 after the acquisition of S.B.A./GALA RECORDS, INC., which until the Universal Music's acquisition of EMI, the distributor of the latter's releases within Russia. From December 2013, it distributes ООО "Сони Мьюзик Энтертейнмент" for the Russian market for all releases, including Sony Music's domestic Russian artists.
