EMI Classics budget series positioned as an introduction to classical music. The series used different cover colours to mark the type of music on its releases: - Black: Film and Musical - Dark blue: Symphony - Light blue: Vocal - Dark green: Concerto - Light green: Instrumental - Dark purple: Opera - Light purple: Orchestral - Light yellow: Choral - Dark yellow: Chamber - Grey: Special Edition The series was continued by Warner Music after purchasing the EMI Classics label in 2013. The colour coding of covers had been abandoned by then.
