Polish state owned Label started in the period of 1959/1960 by the record company Przedsiębiorstwo Państwowe "Polskie Nagrania" based in Warsaw, when a pressing plant as a part of (later Plastic Materials Factory "Pronit" in Pionki) was established and started production of vinyls. Initially center labels deisgn was similar to those of and those two labels had the same catalog numbering system and common numbering sequence. On both lebels "Polskie Nagrania Warszawe" was printed. In the begining of the 80's "Pronit" Label became a standalone label with its own numbering system, center labels design also changed. Production of records with "Pronit" label ceased in 1991. Plastic Materials Factory "Pronit" in Pionki was reactivated in December 2010 as the ZPS sp. z o.o.
