Precision Records & Tapes Ltd. handled distribution for BBC Records and Tapes, Jive, and former Pye subsidiary Calibre Records (alternately known as Calibre + Plus!) as well as the UK distribution of Casablanca Records, and Buddah Records. The pressing plant in Mitcham was operating under this name from July 1980 to May 1981. Precision Records & Tapes Ltd. ceased operations in late 1989. The label's back catalog was acquired in 1990 by Castle Communications. The Pye/PRT catalog is now owned by Universal Music Group unit Sanctuary Records. The company was dissolved on 11 December 2013.
