This was a sublabel & distribution unit of Beta Bodega Coalition, supplying the Americas with some of Miami's most respected labels including Counterflow Recordings, Merck, Botanica Del Jibaro, Mass Transit Records, Dopamine Records, Beta Bodega, Metatronix and Boniato. Founded in 1998 from the local subversive pirate radio scene, Phonoforum was operated and run by Hispanics and represented the diverse and complex depth of these outputs. It stopped operations 3 years later, and only ever completed 1 release.
