"Op was released in a number of editions, magazine style from 2002 to 2007. A great deal changed over that time. Op1 had some technical problems which led to Op2 being announced as a replacement. While that was underway, a series of updates Op1.1, Op1.2 and so on led to the idea of recording and releasing in small continuing amounts - an ever expanding album. Op2 came and while it repaired some of the troubles of Op1, some listeners still preferred the previous edition. Nevertheless it did quite well. Op2.5 was a full scale release in its own right - called 'Millenium Cheesecake' it paralleled the older 'Eighties Cheesecake' in being simple pop tunes for the moment. Op3 was a very different web only release, and was the last recordings made by Severed Heads. The difference between this and Op1 demonstrated SH's change of interest just before disbanding. Op4 was a project to remix and remaster all the Op tracks. It was online from 2009-2011." [Tom Ellard].
