Now Playing is a ten-CD promotional radio sampler series for Christian radio created by Sparrow Records that served as collections for multi-artist singles. The series ran from 1996 and ended in 1997. Sparrow utilized this format to promote the latest artist singles in place of single artist CD singles or radio promos. The CDs in this series were exclusive to the CCM radio industry professionals and never available to the general marketplace. Sparrow Records noted the "add date" and the format after the song title included to assist radio DJs. The Now Playing series often featured exclusive, radio-friendly mixes and edits available nowhere else.
