Founded in 2001 by and in Portland Oregon. Marriage is a label dedicated to releasing works from artists around the world. On January 1st 2015 the Marriage ring found itself in Los Angeles. Marriage has released a number of works ranging from poetry, improvisational electronic music, northwest folk, lo-fi punk, musical compositions, etc. Marriage Records was distributed by The Business (2). The label, and its -curated sub-label Rad, were acquired by Gnar Tapes in January 2015 and relocated operations to Los Angeles. In 2022 selected titles were reissued via Bandcamp, beginning the relationship between Addendum and Marriage. In 2025 Addendum acquired most remaining stock of past Marriage releases, moved to Olympia, and assumed the role of "parent label".
