Austin, Texas record label. Fable Records first release was a 7" by Zilker Sunday intended as a one-off in 1973. But trombonist Mike Mordecai launched the label in earnest in late 1975 with albums by Forty Seven Times Its Own Weight Steamheat and Starcrost.
