French label and publisher. For publishing roles, they may also appear as Editions Cobalt. Created in 1979 by Philippe Conrath with 2 other journalists colleagues of the newspaper Libération, Cobalt stopped a few later later, only to be resurrected in 1989 thanks to the dynamic of the Africolor festival that takes place in the Seine-Saint-Denis (Parisian suburb). They started Cobalt Africolor as the vehicule for the African music represented at the festival.
