UK label launched around 1990 that originally specialized in industrial and noise-rock releases. Operated a US office in NYC for a few years. Most of the label's successful acts were integrated with V2 Records in 1996, at which point their roster became much more diverse (albeit somewhat more mainstream) in style. In 2011 the remnants of the label (including Carter USM's debut) were sold. In 2017 the Big Cat (UK) Records label and residual recording rights were purchased by Jungle Records.
