About

Folk and prog label from France established in 1977 by Hughes De Courson and directed by Hervé Bergerat and Nicolas Galibert, with a similar roster to the Hexagone label, and the most prog albums by folk legend Malicorne. There were also non-folk albums by Benoît Widemann and Laurent Thibault, both bastions of the Zeuhl scene. Ballon Noir ceased all activities in May 2009.
