A sub label of Stickman Records, Aquarius Recordings started in 1996 as a anonymous label with no writing credits, a very simple look, and a volontary erroneous release date (such as 1978 or 1979) to make the record look like an authentic Disco 12". This was done to ensure that the listener was not influenced by anything except the music when listening to the record. This underground approach was received with great applause and instantly developed Aquarius as a sought after label. From the very first release to the present, Aquarius has remained true to it's sound with strong influences of House, Disco, Funk and Jazz. A unique aspect of Aquarius is that all but one release to date was produced by Canadian artists thus continuing with the Stickman philosophy and making it truly special in that way. Almost every DJ somewhere in the world has an Aquarius Record and has played them to the cheering crowds with much success. Every new release on Aquarius has it's own unique sound & style and has a truly special place in Dance Music. A collection of [r=809389] was released in 2001.
