Massada

Massada was a Dutch funk and dance outfit that blended Latin rhythms with electronic production during the late 1970s and early 1980s. The group carved out a niche in the European dance scene with infectious grooves and cross-genre experimentation, bridging funk, pop, and world music influences.

The band achieved notable chart success in the Netherlands with a string of club-friendly releases, including "Latin Dance" and "Dansa" (1978), followed by "Unknown Destination" (1979) and "I Never Had A Love Like This Before" (1980). Their fusion of Latin percussion with electronic elements helped establish a distinctive sound that resonated with both radio and dance floor audiences of the era.
