About

He Said Omala is a Swedish collaborative project bringing together Graham Lewis (known for his solo work and his role in the post-punk band Wire) and Omala's M. Tegnér and A. Karperyd. The trio's combined minimalist approach creates rhythm-oriented ambient compositions characterized by atmospheric textures and articulate, enigmatic vocals. Their creative partnership reflects a shared sensibility for experimental electronic music rooted in industrial and ambient traditions.

The group's primary release, *Catch Supposes* (1997), showcases six introspective tracks that balance rhythmic precision with spacious, layered soundscapes. The album exemplifies the group's ability to merge Lewis's experience in avant-garde composition with Omala's established presence in Sweden's ambient-industrial scene. Beyond their collaborative work, members continue individual pursuits—including Lewis's involvement in the electronic performance unit Ocsid and Omala's contributions to film soundtracks and multimedia installations—demonstrating their versatility within experimental electronic music.
