About

# Perfect Crime

Perfect Crime was a New Wave outfit from Portstewart, Northern Ireland, active during the early 1980s (1981-86). The group blended post-punk sensibilities with synth-driven New Wave aesthetics, featuring Gregory Gray's distinctive vocal and saxophone work alongside Donal Boyle's guitar, George Nelson's bass, and Colin Mairs' drumming.

Operating during the height of the New Wave movement, Perfect Crime contributed to Northern Ireland's vibrant post-punk scene of the era. Their saxophone-infused approach to New Wave helped define a regional sound that bridged the gap between angular post-punk and more accessible synth-pop territories.
