The Dilettantes

The Dilettantes are an American alternative rock ensemble from the San Francisco Bay Area, featuring Brian Jonestown Massacre percussionist Joel Gion alongside Jefferson Parker, Brock Galland, KC Kozak, and Nick Marcantonio. The group blends psychedelic and alternative rock sensibilities, drawing on Gion's experience in the experimental music scene.

The band released their debut studio album *101 Tambourines* in 2007, showcasing their layered instrumental approach and eclectic sonic palette. While the project received mixed critical reception, it demonstrated the collective's willingness to explore unconventional arrangements and textures within the alternative rock framework.
