About

Japanese visual kei rock band Dué le quartz emerged from Tokyo’s underground music scene in December 1998, signing to PS Company and establishing themselves as part of the distinctive visual kei movement that blended theatrical rock aesthetics with experimental songwriting. During their four-year tenure, the group released multiple albums and singles that showcased their dynamic approach to rock composition before disbanding in 2002.

Though primarily rooted in rock rather than electronic music, Dué le quartz’s innovative production and experimental arrangements influenced Japan’s alternative music landscape. Band members went on to pursue notable solo and collaborative projects, with vocalist Sakito and bassist Kikasa reuniting for the project Figure:, while guitarist Miyabi’s subsequent solo work under the moniker Miyavi gained international recognition for its genre-blending approach.
