Nothing Painted Blue is an American indie rock project led by songwriter Franklin Bruno, active since the late 1980s. Emerging from Los Angeles, the band established themselves with their 1990 debut LP *A Baby, A Blanket, A Packet of Seeds*, showcasing Bruno’s distinctive songwriting approach. With drummer Kyle Brodie as the stable core member alongside Bruno, the project has maintained a fluid lineup while building a catalog rooted in experimental indie sensibilities.
