Soleil is a Japanese electronic music producer and DJ who has established himself as a key figure in the techno and trance scene since the early 1990s. Working under various monikers including DJ MS, Soleil has built a reputation for crafting meticulously produced techno and trance tracks that balance precision with dancefloor energy. His production journey began on Commodore Amiga, where he leveraged his background as a drummer to create intricate rhythmic structures, later transitioning to hardware synthesizers and PC-based production by the mid-1990s.

As a co-founder of Jotown Records, Soleil has been instrumental in shaping the label’s sound and artistic direction. His DJ sets showcase a deep commitment to progressive trance, blending essential grooves with forward-thinking production aesthetics. Beyond the booth, Soleil curates “Monday Soundscape,” a radio program dedicated to progressive trance, further cementing his role as a tastemaker and curator within the electronic music community.
