The Dambuilders are an indie rock band that emerged from Honolulu, Hawaii in 1989 before establishing themselves in the Boston music scene. Active throughout the 1990s, the group released seven full-length albums and numerous EPs, establishing themselves as part of the alternative rock landscape before disbanding in 1998.
Following a 27-year hiatus, The Dambuilders reunited for a performance at Drom Fest in August 2025, reuniting core members Dave Derby (bass, vocals) and Eric Masunaga (guitar) alongside notable collaborators including Sean Eden of Luna on guitar, Claudia Chopek of Dexys on violin, and Brendan Canty of Fugazi on drums.
