Shanon is an influential figure in dance music history, best known for the seminal track “Let the Music Play”—a pulsating dance classic that helped pioneer the electronic and electronica movements of the late '80s and '90s. Her innovative approach to dance-pop production laid crucial groundwork for the genre’s evolution during a transformative era in electronic music.

Following a period away from the spotlight, Shanon returned to the studio in 1998 for a collaboration with German producer Sash!, resulting in the dynamic single “Move Mania.” This marked the beginning of a creative renaissance that continued through remixed versions of her signature tracks and culminated in the 2000 album The Best Is Yet To Come, which reintroduced her distinctive sound to a new generation of electronic music listeners.
