Vital Parts

Vital Parts was a band led by legendary guitarist Jorma Kaukonen, best known for his work with Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna. The group recorded the album *Barbeque King* in 1980 for RCA Records, marking Kaukonen’s final release with the label before parting ways.

While Vital Parts operated outside the electronic and dance music sphere, the project represented an important chapter in Kaukonen’s post-psychedelic rock evolution during the early 1980s.
