About

Formed in London in 1992, Salad Undressed emerged as purveyors of jagged alternative pop and indie rock. The group—featuring Marijne Van Der Vlugt, Paul Kennedy, Pete Brown, and Rob Wakeman—launched their career with the 'Kent EP' on their independent Waldorf label in 1993. Their distinctive sound quickly caught the attention of Island Records' Island Red Label imprint, which signed them following the single 'Diminished Clothes'.

After disbanding in 1999, Van Der Vlugt and Kennedy reunited in 2017, initially performing acoustic sets under the Salad Undressed name. The duo crowdfunded the album 'Good Love Bad Love' and released archival material through 'The Lost Album Vol. 1/2', rekindling interest in their catalog. A full band reformation followed in 2018 with the return of Brown on bass and new members Charley Stone (guitar/vocals) and Donald Ross Skinner (drums), marking the group's return to the live circuit and studio with the single 'The Selfishness Of Love'—their first official release in over two decades.
