Donnie Sterling

Donnie Sterling emerged as a pivotal figure in the funk and electronic scene in the late 1970s, initially making his mark as the band leader and bass player for Parlet. Recruited by Mallia Franklin in 1978, Sterling's innovative bass techniques and songwriting prowess were showcased on Parlet's second album, "Invasion of the Booty Snatchers," where he contributed to three songs. His work with Parlet, although brief, left a lasting impact on the fusion of funk and electronic music, demonstrating his ability to blend genres and push the boundaries of dance music.
