Aimless Device were a Belgian new wave outfit from Leuven, active throughout the 1980s. Part of a vibrant local scene that included The Neon Judgement and Men 2nd, the group carved out a distinctive sound by blending synthesizers and drum machines with guitar-driven arrangements, creating a minimalist rock aesthetic that bridged post-punk and early electronic music.
Working alongside producer Ludo Camberlin, Aimless Device helped define Leuven's underground electronic and new wave movement, contributing to the city's reputation as a hub for innovative synth-based music during the decade.
