Swiss electronic music producer and live performer Arkus P. (Peter Schmid) has been crafting innovative techno and electronic dance music since the early 2000s. His debut vinyl on Schubfaktor in 2001 quickly gained traction in the international DJ circuit, with his work receiving support from influential figures like DJ Rush at major festivals. By the mid-2000s, Arkus P. had established himself as a prolific artist with over 30 releases across respected labels including Highball, Definition, and Artillery, complemented by an extensive touring schedule across Europe and beyond.

Known for his dynamic live approach, Arkus P. eschews pre-programmed sets in favor of spontaneous, crowd-responsive performances where he develops patterns and arrangements in real-time. This improvisational philosophy has become central to his identity as a live artist. A significant milestone came in 2004 through his collaboration with producer Robert Natus, whose combined single became the year’s best-selling vinyl and achieved rare mainstream recognition with a German sales chart entry on Kontor Records.
