About

Legendary bassist and composer, Jah Wobble made his mark as a founding member of post-punk pioneers Public Image Limited (PiL), establishing himself as a crucial force in experimental music during the late 1970s. Following his departure from the band in 1980, Wobble embarked on a prolific solo career that would span decades and multiple genres, consistently pushing boundaries across ambient, world music, and electronic production.

Wobble's sonic palette is remarkably diverse, blending dub-influenced bass work with ambient textures, world music elements, and electronic experimentation. His prolific output from the mid-1990s onward showcases his restless creative vision, with releases exploring everything from traditional English folk reinterpretations to contemporary electronic soundscapes. As founder of 30 Hertz Records, Wobble has maintained creative independence while collaborating with an extensive array of artists, cementing his status as a visionary figure in electronic and experimental music. He continues to tour regularly throughout Europe, remaining an active and influential presence in contemporary music.
