About
Benjamin Bossi is an American saxophonist best known for his work with San Francisco post-punk pioneers Romeo Void. As the band’s primary saxophonist, Bossi helped define the group’s distinctive new wave sound throughout the late 1970s and 1980s, contributing to three studio albums: *It’s a Condition*, *Benefactor*, and *Instincts*. His saxophone work was integral to Romeo Void’s synth-driven aesthetic, blending punk energy with art-rock sophistication.
Romeo Void achieved significant commercial success with hits like “Never Say Never” and “A Girl in Trouble”—the latter becoming a top 40 pop single. Bossi’s instrumental contributions helped establish the band as key figures in the post-punk and new wave movement, influencing the intersection of punk attitude and electronic production that defined 1980s alternative music.
