Irish musician and producer Jimi Shields has built a distinctive career spanning indie rock and electronic music. Following his work with 1990s indie rock outfit Rollerskate Skinny, Shields shifted creative directions, establishing himself as a versatile collaborator and bandleader in experimental and electronic spheres.
In 2001, Shields formed The Wounded Knees alongside Mercury Rev's flutist Suzanne Thorpe, blending organic instrumentation with electronic textures. His collaborative approach deepened with the 2004 founding of thirtythreetrees (TTT) with Maria Vlahos, a project that showcases his evolving production sensibilities and commitment to innovative sound design within the electronic music landscape.
