About

Hello! Project Kids was a Japanese pop group formation that emerged from a major 2002 audition, selecting 15 performers from nearly 28,000 applicants. The project served as an incubation platform within the Hello! Project ecosystem, producing two significant subgroups: Berryz Koubou and ℃-ute. Both units developed distinct pop-dance identities that blended electronic production with J-pop sensibilities, contributing to the evolution of dance-pop in the Japanese music industry during the 2000s.

The group's musical output showcased upbeat electronic arrangements and dance-oriented production typical of the Hello! Project's approach to contemporary pop music. By 2017, the Hello! Project Kids structure had concluded, with members transitioning to solo careers or other projects, though the group's influence on Japanese pop-dance music and artist development remained notable within the genre.
